Spring is finally here in the Waipara Valley and it’s always a time full of energy at our home Dunnolly.
Budburst means that Vintage 2020 is on the horizon and that my friends – is very exciting for us indeed. But with the potential risk of frost, unfortunately this time also causes Mum & Dad to have a few sleepless nights! For the next month or so we will be keeping an eye on the temperatures to ensure our frost machine springs into action if needed.
The Malo’s are nearly finished in the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir barrels, and our barrels are busy fizzing and popping their bungs! It’s one of the last key activities that needs to happen before we blend these new wines in the New Year.
